. . . more specifically, this is a reminder about our CREDIT YOUR STOCK policy.

This group requires that all stock and resources used in your photomanipulations be credited before we will approve it for our galleries.

When we say "credit," we are at a minimum looking for a working link or icon to the stock provider's page. It is okay not to link to the specific stock image, but you must credit the stock provider.

What do I mean by "working link"? I mean a link or icon that is clickable and will take you to the stock provider's page.

Why do we require this? Because it is fair to stock providers to give them credit for their work. They put a lot of time and energy into making sure that we have awesome (and FREE!) stock with which to create, and they deserve to be recognized for the work they do for us. It only takes a moment to credit your stock providers; why not do it correctly?

What happens if you do not credit properly? Your work will be declined. We will let you know why, and you will have a chance to fix it and then resubmit. Don't want to fix it and resubmit? Fine, but your work will not be included in our group.

Any questions?

Excellent, I have noticed a lack of proper crediting lately and it's not just amongst the newbies. It seems that crediting in general is slacking off but more especially external stock rules are also not being read by artists. I currently have a couple of queries regarding some of these things and as soon as I hear back from the help desk I'll let everyone know.
